Welcome to SearchItOn — SafeSearch Enabled. Google Enhanced.

Tools include affiliate connected focus buttons, no-cost-to-user sponsor monetization, optional advanced search controls, and privacy-friendly preferences.

 

🔘 Nav Overview (Top Toolbar)

🔄 Home / Reset   Clears your current query and hides results. Resets focus and advanced menus without reloading the page.

👁️ Focus Menu   Opens a dropdown with retailer “focus” chips (Amazon, Walmart, Temu, eBay). Toggle any on/off. When you search, those sites open in new tabs using the same keywords.

🔗 Share   Opens sharing options. On mobile, uses the native Share Sheet; on desktop, triggers the parent page’s share element (#shareButtons1).

🌗 Theme Toggle   Switches between Dark and Light interface themes. Your choice is saved for next visits.

🖥️ Orientation Toggle (desktop only)   Switches between Top-stacked and Right-side layouts for the search panel. Hidden on small screens.

🔍 Search Button   Executes the current query. Same as pressing Enter.

⚙️ Advanced Search   Opens a dropdown panel with Google-style advanced search options (see below).

📑 Search Field

• Type any keywords and press Enter or click Search.

• Default behavior: runs a Google Custom Search within the embedded results panel.

• If any focus sites are toggled on, they open in new browser tabs at the same time.

• Queries are remembered locally (max 5 recent).

 

🧠 Advanced Search Panel

Use this when you want more precise results.

• Apply → adds these operators to your current query and runs the search.

• Clear → resets all advanced fields.

Below the search box you’ll see your last 5 queries as small chips:

• Tap any chip to re-run that search instantly.

• Click 🗑 Clear to delete your history.

• History is saved in your browser only (cookies/local storage).

 

💼 Sponsored Box

• Appears only when a valid advertisement is loaded.

• Hidden by default to keep the layout clean.

• Ads may be keyword-sensitive and help fund the service transparently.

 

⚙️ Other Features

• SafeSearch: enabled by default via Google CSE.

• Link Behavior: all result links automatically open outside the widget (target="_top").

• Responsive Design: works from 320 px mobile width upward; orientation button hidden on small screens.

• Persistence: theme, orientation, and recent queries are remembered until cleared.
